What stood out most in this chicken coop was how fast the assembly was. The assembly required minimal tools, and I was impressed by the access doors. It did keep my birds safe. However, I feel like it could have been more spacious. The coop could only hold 4 middle-sized chickens, which is fair if you don't have many chickens. The coop is made of wood, which is sturdy enough space for my chicken. Additionally, my chickens seem to love the roosting bars. It is also very cozy, and if I ever get more chickens, I will consider purchasing this coop again. It's also well-insulated, and you don't have to worry about the cold.
There is enough nesting space, and the slide-out tray makes cleaning a breeze. Of course, there's no such thing as easy cleaning when you have farm animals. But the removable tray makes it simpler, and the wheels make it portable.

This wooden chicken coop is a compact coop that can house up to four chickens. I know it can host up to six chickens; however, they must be silkies to fit 6 of them. Furthermore, I noticed that the chicken liked the lockable hinged nesting boxes because they could keep dry and warm. The boxes also make it easier to collect eggs.

For a portable chicken coop, it is super easy to clean. The pull-out tray makes it easier to sweep wood shavings and chicken droppings. After checking the droppings to ensure nothing is abnormal, I use the droppings as manure for my small garden. The chicken run area can be detached from the top.

This classic coop can make a home for chicken and other animals. If you have rabbits or keep guinea pigs, this could make the perfect enclosure for them. Did you know rabbits can eat leaves? Factors to Consider Before Buying a Chicken Coop
There are a few factors to go through before taking the plunge. Chicken coops with wheels are not very simple to buy. Therefore before buying a chicken coop, here are some things to look over:
a) Ventilation
Ventilation is crucial for chicken health. Therefore the chicken coop should be well-ventilated. Chickens generate a lot of heat, ammonia, and moisture; therefore, adequate ventilation is key. Windows, vents, and doors should be considered. If you don't consider the correct ventilation, your chicken might get health problems.
The ventilation should also be open in winter. Every point of ventilation apart from the doors should be higher in the coop. The coop door should remain open during the day and only be locked at night to prevent predators. The ventilation should not be large enough to let in any predators.
b) Protection From Predators
There is no lack of predators waiting to make a meal from your chicken. Therefore, the coop you select should be secure and sturdy to prevent this. Additionally, the coop should be enclosed. This prevents any predators from gaining access to your coop. Most coops will come with mesh all around.
I have found that reinforcing the mesh with another layer of mesh makes the coop impenetrable to other critters. Your coop should also protect your chicken from the weather. Therefore, good insulation for wind resistance is also key. Finally, when your coop is outdoors, it is important to place the coop in shady areas.
c) Size
Depending on your chickens, you will need a coop that can house all your chicken. Keep in mind that you also have to meet the social needs of the chicken. Therefore less than 3 isn't ideal. It would help if you always tried to keep your chicken in groups of 10 for 60 by 80 square feet of space.
If you have fewer chickens, ensure no less than 2 chickens per coop. Keep in mind these measurements are for chickens that can also free-roam. Therefore, if your chickens always stay indoors, you will have to increase the space for each chicken. If you have a chicken coop with wheels you can move the coop every hour to ensure your chickens don't get bored.
d) Nesting Box
How many chickens do you have? If you have many chickens, building your chicken coop would be a good idea instead of buying a coop. However, a few backyard chickens will benefit from a nesting box. The standard nesting box is good for 3 chickens. Therefore a coop with three nesting boxes could comfortably hold 9 chickens.
The average hen can lay an egg almost every day. A nesting box provides a safe space and environment for the chicken to lay eggs. I like to line my nesting boxes with chopped hay to provide insulation for the eggs. I also change the bedding weekly to ensure my hens and the eggs stay dry. The wheels make it easy to move my chicken coops and keep them out of the scorching sun.
e) Easy Access to Water and Food
Keeping chickens in a coop includes providing them with food and water even when they sleep in the evening. The best positioning is placing the waterer and feeder inside the run instead of inside the coop. While chickens might not eat or drink at night, I still like to leave water and food for the chicken, so they have something to eat and drink early in the morning.
I also give the chicken leftovers from my house, which reminds me of a common question people ask; can chicken eat spicy food? Yes I give them the occasional spicy leftovers. I know chickens should always have access to food and water since all they do is eat during the day. However, egg-laying hens need to eat whenever they please because they need a lot of food to produce eggs.
