What are fly sprays for alpacas?
Basically a fly spray is a generic name given to a fly protectant mixture of chemicals, oils and insecticides that helps to kill or repel flies.
It can also be referred to as any mixture that is used to combat or drive away pesky stubborn flies, whether it is sprayed or not.
As long as the intended purpose of any product used is to protect your animals from flying insects such as gnats, house flies, stable flies etc then we will be using that term for it.
How do fly sprays for alpacas work?
There are several kinds of fly sprays for different types of flies and insects out there.
And they have different effects on the insects. Some will kill them while some repel them
A good fly spray for your farm animals should combine all these actions to get something that is very effective.
When it comes to killing the flies, some fly sprays will effectively kill all kinds of gnats and flies.
But this means that the insects need to land on the body of the alpacas before it can work.

What happens is that the flies lay their eggs in the open wounds of your animals and this can lead to a more terrible infection.
When this happens it can lead to death in extreme cases

One thing you need to know is that when looking through the ingredients, if you come across any hard to pronounce words, then you want to skip using them.
